Our business, ADU1, recently completed a project for a client in Reseda, Los Angeles. The client had a multifamily building that they wanted to increase the number of units in, so they contacted us to build an ADU on the property. The project was a carport conversion and the client’s goal was to generate additional rental income.
We worked closely with the client to create a custom ADU plan that would meet their needs and budget. The project required a seismic retrofit in addition to the ADU construction, so we consulted with a structural engineer to ensure that the building would be safe and up to code.
We faced some challenges during construction, but our team was able to overcome them and complete the project on time and within budget. The client was very happy with the results and has already seen an increase in rental income.
